Visual Summit in Chicago!

I recently got to fly to Chicago for work! Our company decided to fly four of us Visuals in for a few days of training and relationship building. We all have two years or less experience at Room & Board and we convened at the Chicago market because there are three showrooms there: Chicago, Skokie and Oakbrook.

One of the great things about our role is the creative freedom we have. They certainly provide guidelines for us to follow staying consistent with the Room & Board brand and the modern aesthetic but the way I merchandise in Denver will look different from how Tisha does it in Minneapolis. Being able to see three showrooms gave us a good variety of ideas.

They put us up on a stunning hotel called Public. It was beautiful, modern and lovely. I stole a few photos from their website because mine didn't do it justice. This hotel is located in the Gold Coast Historic District, surrounded by the kind of brownstones you see in movies. Just amazing.

Here we are: Me (Denver), Julianne (Seattle), Rachael (San Francisco) and Paul (our mentor!)

 My room was gorgeous!

It ended up snowing 10-12" while we were there, and we missed out on one of the showrooms but we made the best of it and still had a great time!

Such a blessing to work for a company willing to invest in their people. This was a priceless experience!
