Aspen Food & Wine-BEFORE

Everytime I do an event, I learn how important the 'before' pics are and I always wish I had better ones! Learning, learning. Anyway, we arrived up in Aspen two weeks before the event to scout it. We were blown away by the location, views, and the mere fact that we had the opportunity to be a part of providing a solution for this highly esteemed event.
On our way up to the rooftop (4 floors up!), they invited us to furnish an entryway check-in area as well as the penthouse deck; this was a VIP space for Aspen Food & Wine-so instead of paying $1300 for a standard ticket, you pay a mere $2500 for access to spaces like this. Totally unreal! We were so excited...even more exposure for the brand!

Here is the view of Aspen Mtn from the penthouse deck!

This building is called The Mother Lode and is a historic piece of property in Aspen. You'll see in 'after' photos what it looks like from the outside but it is 3 floors on the inside plus the rooftop deck. The complete remodel of the building turned out stunning, the architect left many of the doorways 33" wide. I don't know what he was thinking! It is very difficult to get furniture through such a narrow opening and around tight curves in stairwells-ha. This was a very stressful part of the planning process; frequent panic attacks about the fit ensued for the next two weeks. This was an event we couldn't mess up...we just couldn't!

tight doorways with doors that didn't even open all the way!

NARROW!!
We finally made it to the rooftop on our tour of the space and couldn't believe our eyes! It has an amazing view of Aspen Mountain in addition to a full kitchen and hot tub for entertaining. WOW.
